my 1st baby set

this project I started and finished in early Ramadhan. It took me 4 days to complete the set. which consists of basic baby needs ; 

a pair of cuff mittens

a pair of rib cuff booties

a beanie.

dah siap awal2 ni, rasa mcm nak tambah bear ears la pulak kat beanie tu...nampak kosong aje~~

 this is the first time I crochet with pure wool yarn which I bought from Cotton House.  also using my new 4mm aluminium hook. you never know how this little things in crochet can effect your project. mengait guna benang ni susah sikit sbb dia licin, selalu terlepas. kan org baru belajar...sbb tu lama sikit ambik masa. tapi warna dia ceria. selalu orang pesan, nak buat barang2 baby guna benang kaler lembut2 je. takpun guna plain colour. saya sorang je kot yang guna kaler bapak meriah macam ni. takpelah~~nanti anak mummy ceria2 pakai set yang mummy crochet ni okey...

Mary Jane

First crochet project I made was a Baby High Top Bootie ; as in the previous entry. So, second project, still kind of baby booties. maklumlah, as expecting for the first time, semua nak buat untuk baby je....

I started my second project, working on a Mary Jane style bootie. following video tutorial in youtube.

and the result is jeng jeng jeng ;

nampak macam menjadi kan?kan?kan?

 tapi size nye punya lah kecik. kaki barbie boleh le muat kot! tengok comparison dengan normal size baby bootie. atoyaiii!

muat2 ibu jari kita sumbat dalam kasut ni. he he.

ni pun bukan salah cikgu, tapi salah anak murid, tak ambik perhatian pasal size hook & jenis yarn yang cikgu guna. maklumlah, as a benginner I really don't think the sizes are going to effect my work this much. 

and now, i've learned. and always pay good attention to the hook & yarn sizing.

so, i will never give up! there will be another Mary Jane from me!

kerja orang xde kerja

sejak bertahun-tahun membesar dalam keluarga yang ada kemahiran ; mak - mejahit, maksu - mengait , xpernah-pernah plak rasa nak belajar ke, nak buat ke..sikit pun tak terliur.

hangin pembawakan budak, tetiba awal tahun hari tu masa bookfair, pegi beli buku mengait jarum satu (crochet) & kait jarum dua (knit). 2 bulan lepas beli buku & alat2 mengait tu, barulah tahu mengandung. terus Mr.Asben ckp bby girl sbb maknye pelik2 macam gini. well, too soon too tell kan.

kita start dengan crochet, belajar daripada buku untuk beginner sangat lah tak membantu. 2 bulan lepas beli buku, kita cuma boleh buat sarung botol air yang tak seberapa canggih. itu pun...phew! struggle membaca pattern. pastu terlintas di fikiran nak google, xsusah pun. sekali search terus jumpa videos kat youtube yang best2, dengan tekunnya mendownload video sampai internet overlimit. tapi memang sangat membantu. rasa mcm ada cikgu ajar. sape2 pun boleh belajar, walaupun xde basic, xde ape. asalkan minat dan masa ada.

so, 1st project yang kita buat adalah  jeng jeng jeng

 finished project! tadaaaa. nampak tak besar sebelah. ini bukan salah cikgu yang mengajar tapi salah anak murid. maklumla, beginner kan~~ I am still learning to control the tense I put while crocheting.

sebelah kait ketat2 (masa rajin + semangat), sebelah lagi dah malas2 ; kaitan dah jadi longgar2...

sbb tu kasut ni jd uneven sized!

30 weeks of pregnancy

Big news for baby's brain this week: It's starting to wrinkle and fold and looks like something that grew in the back of your fridge. This is due to the rapid growth of your little genius's brain cells.
Fingernails and toenails are finally finished—causing his or her parents great fear and anguish the first time they try to cut those little daggers (it gets easier, we promise)! Plus, the bone marrow is completely in charge of red-blood-cell production now.

Baby is starting to shed his lanugo—the downy hair that was covering his skin. Now that he's chubbier and better able to regulate his body temp.
When your baby is awake, his eyes are now wide open and he's whittling away the hours looking around, checking out his rather dark, limited environs. Your baby hasn't gained much weight or height this week, as most of his energy's been channeled to the brain. He weighs about 3 pounds and is approximately 15.5 inches long

pejam celik-tertonggeng meniarap- terguling tergolek-ke kiri ke kanan - ke depan ke belakang dah pun masuk minggu ke 30. nak kata sekejap tak jugak. nak kata lama tak jugak. tinggal lagi lebih kurang 2 bulan je lg sblm deliver. entah betul entah tidak, EDD tiap2 kali pegi check up bertukar. 

minggu ke 30 sounds a lil creepy. but not much changes I can feel. no differences from previous weeks. cumanya, dlm bulan puasa ni, baby tidur siang hari and became very active di malam hari, time mummy bertarawikh dia pun ikut sama tarawikh. dum dam dum dam terasa dlm perut. 

kadang2 terasa macam dia stretch kan badan, perut mengeras dari kiri ke kanan bukan dari atas ke bawah. he he. ke tengah buat apa eak? macam seronok je kalau bleh tengok movement dia tiap2 masa. 

oh superman~~~pinjamkan mata u yang boleh scan tu~~~
